My name is Angela. I am 20 years old. Recently I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, (a form of bone cancer). I wasn't given
much hope from the doctors I had seen. They all told me that the cancer had spread too much. I was given only a year
or two to live. That's not long enough for me. I am only 20 and I have so much life left to live. I began searching for alternative
methods of treatment. Something with some hope. There are a lot of treatments out there to choose from. I found a way to control
the tumors. Food! The National Cancer Institute estimates roughly one-third of all cancer deaths may be diet related. By getting
rid of all the toxins in my body, my immune system will be stronger. I'll be better equipped for fighting off cancerous cells.
Many fruits and vegetables contain vitamins that fight cancer. Click on "cancer fighting foods/spices" for a list of some
of these foods. More and more these days are we finding articles containing information on how eating healthy can help in
the fight and even prevent cancer. The diet goes as follows:
No meat, No poultry, No fish, No eggs, No dairy, No white flour, No sugar, No preservatives.
Raw fruits and vegetables are always best. When
you cook them you lose most of the vitamins you are trying to benefit from. Any temperature above 130 degrees will destroy
the enzymes. Frozen foods from the grocery store are also prohibited because most of them have been processed in some manner.
Basically, everything you eat is home made.
Whole wheat flour can be used in place of white flour. Molasses and honey can take the place of sugar.
Keep the vegetable intake a little higher than the fruit intake. Try and eat a variety of fruits and vegetables.
Each one contains something different from the other.
Protien in the diet is very necessary. Use vegetable protein, such as:
WHOLE GRAINS
It is important that you read the ingrediants on the labels of everything you buy. Everything labeled "whole grain bread"
is not necessarily whole grain. Many of these breads contain only a small amount of whole grain and a large amount of white
flour, white sugar, and preservatives.
CORN
This is an excellent source of protein. Corn on the cob, pop corn, and corn meal in any form, corn meal mush, grits,
and cornbread are permitted.
BUCKWHEAT
This is high in protein. Buckwheat pancakes and pure maple syrup are excellent.
NUTS
These are an excellent source of protein. This included all nuts except peanuts. Raw peanuts are permitted.
DRIED FRUITS
Dried fruits, such as dates, raisins, and figs, are excellent nutrition and provide protein.
BEANS
Some vegetables, such as those in the bean and brown rice family cannot be eaten raw. Soup beans, lentils, split-pea,
navy, and kidney beans, are an excellent source of protein and should be an important part of this diet. Anything used for
its protein content can be cooked.
BEVERAGES
No milk. No caffeine, not even decaf coffee. Herb teas are permitted.
Along with this diet I am to take vitamins and enzymes.
1. Multiple vitamin- 1 twice daily
2. Vitamin C 1 gram- 1 twice daily
3. Vitamin E 400 units- 1 twice daily
4. Megazyme Forte- 2 three times daily
5. Pangamic acid (B15) 100mg.- 1 three times daily
6. Pro-A-Mulsion (25,000 I.U. Vitamin A per drop)- 5 drops daily
I am to stay on this diet for at least four months. At the end of the fourth month if I am doing better I can liberalize
the diet.
The results from previous patients using this diet have shown to be amazing. Most were completly cured from the disease.
If not cured they had the tumors under control and were living far longer than the doctors had given them.
I have only been on this diet for about a month now, but already I feel an improvment. I have energy, I feel better,
I look better, the pain has minimized. I will keep you all updated on the progress I make.
